So how exactly is this network of microchurches structured? Under the ultimate authority of Christ (who is the head of His church), and secondarily under the oversight and authority of the Midwest District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, our basic structure is as follows:
A plurality of biblically qualified, male elders together oversee the collective of microchurches.
Each microchurch overseen by an elder, with an apprentice elder/pastor in training.
Each microchurch has an identified female who oversees women’s discipleship under the oversight of the primary elder(s).
Each member is a part of a discipleship huddle, a group of 3-4 men/women that spends time together regularly (weekly or biweekly) to learn, practice, and to equip one another to lead others to manifest the presence, character, knowledge, and priorities of Christ in obedience to the commands of Jesus. (1. Thanks to give; 2. Sin to confess; 3. Obedience to pursue; 4. Mission to engage).
Each microchurch maintains its own giving/funds, with priority given to supporting the persecuted church, Alliance Great Commission fund, local needs, local mission/charitable giving (i.e., not on buildings, administration, infrastructure, food, ourselves, etc.).
Microchurches aim to intentionally multiply within 1-2 years, depending of course on corresponding preparation of qualified leadership, as much as possible along lines of geographical proximity.
